LIBERTY LOOP

LIBERTY LOOP CALL-OUT:
What does 'liberty' mean to you?

Are you filmmaker, animator, video or digital artist or content creator? Due to COVID-19 we have all had our liberty challenged in some way in recent times so you could reflect on those experiences or what liberty means to you specifically or personally.

Liberty Loop will be a special program of your creative responses to ‘liberty’. The program will be screened during Hobart Current: Liberty on Hobart’s big screen, The Loop: A Digital Art Platform for Hobart.

WHY LIBERTY?

Creative Director of Hobart Current 2021, Rosie Dennis, has provided LIBERTY as a provocation to ten artists as part of the Hobart Current exhibition in March 2021.

"This theme can be interpreted globally and locally, as celebrating the nation as a whole or a neighbourhood. I’m interested in sparking a fuller conversation about who chooses freedom for whom, in what space and during what time”.

We would now like to extend the invitation to you, the Hobart community, and get your thoughts, ideas, stories inspired by this theme.

WHEN WILL IT SCREEN?

Liberty Loop is currently scheduled to screen on The Loop during the Hobart Current: Liberty exhibition in March 2021.

Screening times between:
8 am–8 pm weekdays, 10 am–8 pm weekends
