Rosie Dennis creates complex contemporary performance works that have a strong connection to place and the everyday. She is the current Artistic Director of the internationally acclaimed Urban Theatre Projects, a Sydney-based company known for telling stories that are full of humanity and reflect contemporary Australia. In this role she has directed the award-winning Home Country (Sydney Festival 2017) and two documentaries: One Day For Peace (ABC TV 2016) and Bre & Back (SBS 2015). As curator, she has realised large-scale, intercultural, place based experiences, including the award-winning MINTO:LIVE (2011), BANKSTOWN:LIVE (2015) and RIGHT HERE.RIGHT NOW (2018). As an independent artist, Rosie has presented various works at more than twenty-five festivals across Europe and the UK.
