Brigita Ozolins

Brigita is a multimedia artist who lives in Hobart. Inspired by a passion for literature, she makes art about the links between language, history and identity. Her major works include Kryptos at Mona (2011) and A Tasmanian Reading Room at Detached Cultural Organisation (2019).

Brigita has shown work in Dark Mofo, Mofo, and Ten Days on the Island festivals, and at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, State Library of Tasmania, Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts, Tasmanian Design Centre, Sydney Contemporary, and the National Library of Latvia (via the Soros Foundation). She has received numerous artist grants, and teaches fine art at the University of Tasmania.
