Postcard Exhibition

Wish you were Here!

WHEN: 10 am to 4 pm from Wednesday 3 to Saturday 6 December 2025

WHERE: Waterside Pavilion, Mawson Place

It is that time of year again where we unveil the latest postcard exhibition artworks as part of the Under Current public program.

We had a great response with 190 postcards submitted by the Hobart community responding on an A5 postcard to the provocation What does it mean to be ‘here?’.

People drew, painted, collaged or photographed their creative responses onto the front of the postcard and gave a brief explanation of their rationale on the back.

There is also a People’s Choice awards where the public get to vote on their favourite postcard.

We encourage you to create your own postcard at the exhibition and add it to the wall, or just come and enjoy the artwork.

We look forward to seeing you there.
