Jade Irvine

Jade Irvine is an early-career artist and writer living in nipaluna/Hobart. Her practice centres on re-examining her cultural identity and articulating a sense of place in her paintings and writing. Jade has written for arts organisations such as the National Gallery of Australia, ArtsHub, and Assemble Papers, and she is an editorial committee member for un Magazine, a Melbourne-based publication with a focus on contemporary art, critical writing and independent practice.

Jade is co-chair of artist-run initiative, Constance ARI, and the recent curator of SITE: Richmond – an exhibition responding to perceptions of community and heritage in a regional Tasmanian town. She is passionate about sustainability and community engagement in her life and work.
