Jodi Haines

Jodi Haines is a Tasmanian and Gomeroi person, born and raised in Nipaluna with strong ties to her dad’s community of Toomelah, northern NSW. Jodi has been performing for many decades as a singer-songwriter with a long history of mentoring and supporting Palawa musicians. Jodi continues to track her life journey through song, often created in the loungeroom alongside her approving dog Jasper, a crackling fire and night sounds of nature that carry beautiful melodies beyond the tinkering of an old Yamaha keyboard.

Jodi is an emerging multidimensional artist who uses imagery, writing, acting and music to honor Country, people and childhood suburban memories to track the footprints that sit upon ancient knowledge that continue to guide us. Jodi uses story and art practice to express who we are, who we were, and who we want to be.
